The beginning of Miss Fashion Whore. Yep, I’m getting my blog on!
So I have finally decided to start a blog. Two weeks ago my boyfriend and I were talking
We both spend most evenings on our laptops (besides other things!). He is a successful web designer and uses this time productively. I, however, spend hours browsing online stores and fashion blogs. He asked me, frankly, why didn’t I do something like this? I’m not a fashion expert or even in the industry. I’m just a girl with a lot of clothes and a serious consumer habit but I had a lightbulb moment…
Blog power hour
Within the hour my @thefashionwhore account was set up on Twitter and had I ordered a laptop with express overnight shipping. I got my RSS reader fully loaded with the creme de la creme of the fashion world. I signed up to every fashion newsletter I could find, on both sides of the Atlantic.
The wait zzzzzz
The next week and a half was frustrating. I was waiting for all the tech stuff to get sorted. I filled up my spare time with a few cheeky visits to the mall! I also got to grips with some shopping/fashion iphone apps. Blog post on that coming soon.
What’s next?
Now the waiting has paid off and Miss Fashion Whore is ready. I’ve spoken to some awesome people on Twitter over the last few weeks. It is great to have such positive feedback about my blog and what I’m doing. I hope everyone enjoys what I have to say, even if it is a bit blah, blah, blah at times. For me, this blog is guilt-free fashion indulgence at its best. I’m not wasting my time ‘I’m a blogger you know!’.
I hope there are a lot of readers who can relate to me and my dilemmas. I drool over couture but I want to blog about accessible fashion too. Expect a mix of high street and designer fashion.
I plan to get a newsletter set up too. Sign up for that, and my RSS feed if you likey. I would love to hear from you so if you have any feedback, suggestions or anything else to say please get in touch or leave a comment.

Yeh I thought your sites were great too! I agree we should support each other. As for exposure, I’m not really sure how it happened. I think its just the time I put into it.
