Time for a belated post! This month the fab Lipstick Royalty Magazine (an online fashion, art and lifestyle mag) have done a charity issue.

ALL the proceeds will be going to the Laura Crane Trust for youth cancer care. For just £1.50 I think it’s a great way to indulge my magazine habit and feel saintly!

You can download the October issue of Lipstick Royalty here

ps. Thanks to the lovely Amy of Confessions of a Fashion Editor for letting me know about this.

Feather Skirts

skirts

I apologize for my lack of blog posts lately. Last week my law degree managed to take over my life! I also got a new baby pug called Lola (time to purchase THAT Mulberry dog coat!).

But now I’m back, and I’m armed with some of the most gorgeous feathered skirts. The first one is my favourite and I’m about to get my credit card out…

1) Coral feather skirt, River Island, £59.99 (comes in black)

2) Purple ostrich feather skirt, Topshop, £75  (comes in grey)

3) Black feather tutu skirt, Oasis, £80

4) Grey silk feather effect skirt, Rare, £59 (comes in peach and black)

Has anyone found feather skirts anywhere else? I love them.

Topshop Student Night

LifeOctober 7th, 2009 written by MFW

Last night I battled through my flu to go to the yearly Topshop student discount night.

I knew there was a good reason to go to uni and 20% off at Topshop has to be it!

By the time I arrived at 5pm there was already a queue.  As you can see from the pics it was so massive the shopping centre security team had to get involved. I would guess there were about 500 people in line. Luckily I was at the front!

Loads of the stuff I planned to buy was out of stock, but I didn’t leave empty handed. I found a gorgeous cape and loads of great tops for everyday wear.

I even bagged a goody bag for spending over £20. The cute tote bag came with a lollipop, notepad and a makeup bag. Definitely worth queuing for.

If you live in Aberdeen then they are doing another student night tonight from 6pm-9pm. The events are going on all over the country so make sure you don’t miss out.

Now I just need to decide whether to go back for round 2 tonight! They might’ve restocked….

Grazia Collection

FashionOctober 6th, 2009 written by MFW

Untitled-1Untitled-5next

Grazia Magazine has just launched a fashion collection!

The collection is in collaboration with high street stores Accessorize, ASOS, French Connection, M&S, Next, Oasis, Topshop, River Island, Wallis, Warehouse and Whistles and comprises of 11 gorgeous pieces.

I am in love with everything but if I HAD to choose I would go for the Topshop trophy jacket, £125, the ASOS mesh skirt, £25 and the French Connection leggings, £65

The Accessorize necklace is a bargain £28 and so is the Next jacket, £55 (preorder).

I was skeptical when I heard Grazia was trying to multi-task and design fashion as well as write but wow, please keep the clothes coming!

The collection is very limited so hurry! I bet it won’t be around for long.

If I could have one thing right now it would be The Brightest Darkness dress from Sass & Bide.

The dress lives up to its name! I just know it would look amazing on dark Winter nights.

Get it at Netaporter
