If you’re a designer addict and you haven’t heard of Fashion Confidential then bookmark it now!
Fashion Confidential is a one stop site for designer clothing, sample sale alerts and style tips. The site is similar to Fashionair but it offers VIP treatment for members.
The Bargain Hunter section of the site is GENIUS! It boasts the details of all the hottest designer sample sales and has a calendar with all the dates (I’ve fully loaded the calendar on my blackberry!). The Bargain Hunter also picks out the best discounted items from sites like the Outnet, Matches Style Steals and Browns Labels for Less. I can tell I’m going to get addicted!
I really love the boutique directory. I’m always searching for new fashion stores and this is packed with some gems that I’d never heard of (as well as the good old favourites!). It’s definitely worth browsing. There is also a new in section which shows all the latest items to hit boutiques. This is great if you like to keep ahead of the game!
I was excited to see that Fashion Confidential has an e-zine full of beautiful clothes and designer interviews. I spend so long browsing blogs and fashion sites and it’s great to see one with so much magazine style content. The latest issue has an unmissable interview with Matthew Williamson, who I love!
You can sign up for Fashion Confidential here.

River Island have teamed up with Nabil El-Nayal , winner of last years Graduate Fashion Week Womenswear Award, for a mini collection.
There are two LBDs to choose from but the one above is my favourite. It’s gothic, Wintry and a snip at just £49.99.
The collection is selling out fast so hurry for your chance to get a limited edition piece by an up and coming designer!

This sweater from River Island is gorgeous.
You don’t often see sequins and fairisle in the same sentence but it totally works. Glam AND casual for just £45.

This morning I signed up to the new fashion bidding site Designer Auction after reading this article on Cosmopolitan and this one on BitchBuzz. After hearing about the bargains the site offers I was planning to bag loads of Louboutins, Chanel bags and Jimmy Choos for scandalously low prices…
The idea of the site is every fashionista’s dream but I want to warn you that it’s not as good as it seems.
Every time you place a bid you pay a pound which seems fair considering the prices which items go for are shockingly low. BUT what I find horrifying is that for each bid placed ANOTHER MINUTE is added to the end time of the auction! This system means that the auction only ends if someone stops bidding. It is not the usual system most bidders will be familiar with (eg.Ebay) where the end time is fixed.
Having said that, if you were planning to buy something at full price anyway then you could definitely save yourself a good 10-20%. The site allows you to buy the item you are bidding on and even deducts the amount you have spent on bids from the total price, but if you don’t buy the item and you loose the auction then you can’t get your money back.
I managed to waste an hour on the site. I spent £45 on ‘bids’ after getting caught up in a frenzied bidding war and I still left empty handed when someones ‘autobidder’ beat me!
My advice is to approach Designer Auction with caution. It can be expensive and addictive but if you are savvy (unlike me!) then you can grab a real bargain.

I know lace-up boots have been around for a while but I had to let you know about this pair I found on Boohoo for just £35.
They are so similar to the gorgeous £785 Givenchy pair and the Topshop Ava boots, £95, which everyone’s been coveting.
I’ve still not bought anything from Boohoo (I’ve heard rumours of poor quality) but my bank balance is low and I might have to give these a whirl!
Has anyone else tried Boohoo?

At only £50 they are such an amazing designer buy. They come in pink and brown (I might have to get one of each!)
